We're here. We're queer.

We’re creating the world we want to live in. We love working the pole and we love it when you watch.

Join us for nights of sky high heels, juicy cheeks, and flying dollars brought to you by some of the Bay Area’s top pole, drag, and burlesque artists.

We acknowledge the moment we're living through.

You may find our stilettos are sharper than usual. Our pole dancing is an expression of our strength and our excellence, our pride in ourselves, and our pride in and commitment to our queer, trans, and sex worker community. We seek to make art that contributes to our community and builds change from the ground up.

Our performances take place on Ramaytush Ohlone land, and we invite you to join us in contributing your Shuumi land tax.

We love what we do.

Joshuah Ciafardone (they/them), Co-Producer

Joshuah Ciafardone is a pole dancing acupuncturist and an engineer. The 2024 Pole Theatre USA Professional Classique Champion, their credits include lecturing and performing at The Exploratorium, performing with the Dresden Dolls and Kat Robichaud’s Misfit Cabaret, featuring in Flux Vertical Theatre's Nutcracker Nightmare Fantasy, and featuring as a dancer in Flavia’s Them music video.

They lead corporate wellness classes and work towards building a kind and sustainable future for our planet and people. They created Strut in 2024 as a way to lift up queer pole dancers’ voices.

Olivia Day (she/her), Co-Producer

Olivia Day is a competitive pole dancer, performer, and designer. Most recently she's brought pole to Pop Culture Immersives, in Thighs Wide Shut and Pride in Gotham. She loves helping artists shine by designing for Strut, Catie Brier, Cirque Physio and more, and she is the founding creative director of Pole and Dance. She joins Joshuah in producing Strut, to contribute to the Bay Area queer arts scene she loves so much.

We love where we come from.

Strut exists within a proud tradition of underground queer art, as well as a local tradition in the Bay Area of sexy, powerful, playful, unexpected performances that challenge the status quo.

Local influences and favorite places include OASIS, The Stud, Jolene’s, Flux Vertical Theatre, Hubba Hubba Revue, Manarchy, The Ruckus Revival, Pop Culture Immersives, Baloney, and more.
